One sunny afternoon deep within the jungle, Simba the Lion was taking a nap under his favorite mango tree. Snore... snore... went Simba, his huge paws stretched out in the shade.

Suddenly—tickle, tickle!—he felt something tiny brushing his paw.
Eek! Sorry, sorry! squeaked a tiny voice.
Simba blinked open one eye. Huh? Who dares wake the king of the jungle?
Down by his paw stood Momo the Mouse, balancing a crumb twice his size. His whiskers twitched nervously.
I thought you were a rock! Momo squeaked.
And I thought you were an ant! Simba roared with laughter.
Momo giggled. You're gigantic! Do you eat mice?
Only if they steal my mangoes, Simba teased, winking.
Momo gasped. Uh-oh! I didn’t know these crumbs belonged to anyone!
Simba chuckled. Relax! Let’s share a mango instead.
They sat together under the tree, munching juicy mango slices, swapping stories, and making each other laugh until the stars twinkled in the sky.
From that day on, the mighty lion and the tiny mouse were the unlikeliest—but best—of friends.
