The Penguin🐧❄ Who Missed the Snow | Penguin Bedtime Story
On a snowy island where the wind went whooooosh and the ice went crick-crack-sparkle, lived Frosty the penguin. Every morning, she’d wiggle out of her cozy snow cave, flap her flippers, and sigh,
But her friends, Pip the seal and Lila the puffin, just giggled.
“Brrr! I wish it were warm! Soooo warm!”
“Come slide, Frosty!” said Pip.
“Come splash, Frosty!” chirped Lila.
Still, Frosty pouted. “Too cold, too chilly, too frosty! I’m off to find somewhere warm and toasty!”
Splish! went her dive. Swish-swash! went her swim. She paddled through the waves until the sea felt soft and the air smelled sweet.
When she reached a sunny shore, she blinked. The sand went sizzle! The air went whoosh! The waves went swish!
“Ahhh,” she sighed. “Warm, warm, warm! Just what I wanted!”
But soon her feet went ouch! on the hot sand, and her feathers drooped without the cool wind to puff them up.
She looked around—no penguins, no ice hills, no Pip, no Lila. Just heat and stillness.
Her heart gave a plop. “I miss the snow. I miss my friends.”
So back she swam—splash-swoosh, flop-flap, swish!—all the way home.
When Frosty popped out of the icy sea, Pip and Lila cheered! “You’re back!”
They slid and splashed and laughed till the stars twinkled above.
“Brrr!” Frosty giggled. “But this is the best kind of brrr!”
The friends huddled close, warm in each other’s company.
From then on, whenever the wind went whooooosh, Frosty smiled and said, “Cold is cozy when you’ve got friends to share it with.”
And the snowy island shimmered with laughter and love.
Lesson: The warmest places are the ones filled with friends and laughter.
