In the heart of a quiet jungle, there lived an unlikely pair of best friends: a tiny bird named Tiki and a large, gentle elephant named Balu. Tiki was small enough to rest on the tip of a twig, while Balu's footsteps made the earth tremble—but their friendship was strong and true.
One summer, the rains failed to come. The river that once sang through the trees dried to a cracked ribbon of dust. Thirst crept into the jungle, and fear followed close behind.
“We need water!” cried the animals—deer, monkeys, even the old bear who usually slept through everything.
Balu, always ready to help, gathered the animals together. “Let’s dig for water,” he said. “We’ll find it if we work together.”
But the ground stretched endlessly around them, and no one knew where to begin.
From high above, Tiki soared over the treetops, her keen eyes scanning the earth. Just beyond a tall rock, she spotted a patch of ground that looked damp and dark.
“There!” she called, fluttering down. “Dig there!”
The animals listened. Balu lifted the first mound of dirt with his strong trunk, and the others joined in—scraping, scooping, digging deep into the ground. The sun burned above them, but they kept going, side by side.
Then—splash! A cool, clear spring burst from the earth!
Cheers echoed through the trees as the animals rushed to drink. Laughter and relief filled the air.
“You found the water!” they told Balu gratefully.
Balu smiled and glanced at the little bird perched on his back. “We found it,” he said. “Big or small, everyone made a difference.”
Tiki ruffled her feathers proudly and chirped with joy.
Learning: Real friendship is about supporting each other—because every friend has something special to offer.
The End. 🐘🐦🌿💧
